The Excellent Tea Company – CLOSED
Last Updated: Apr. 7, 2018
↑About The Excellent Tea Company
The Excellent Tea Company was a brand of tea owned by Excellent Tea LLC, based in New York, specializing in black tea from Rwanda.
To our knowledge, as of October 2012 they were the only company selling Rwandan black tea in the U.S. Butiki Teas sold green tea grown in Rwanda. The company seemed to be open through 2016 but in 2017 the company's website was mysteriously taken down; we could find no information about the circumstances of their closure.

I'd be more apt to keep this tea around as a basic black over Lipton, and ...

Read Full ReviewThe only tea I've ever tried from Rwanda: a humble teabag with finely-broken tea fannings.
Exceptionally strong and robust: this makes some Assam tea look weak! Good with milk and one of the few teas that I actually preferred this way. Brews a very dark blackish-brown cup, opaque, almost like black coffee. Yet le...
