About Harrods

Harrods is an upscale department store based in London, UK. The company's history begins in 1824 when Charles Henry Harrod opened a store, but this company was eventually dissolved. The store contiguous with the modern company was founded in 1849 as a wholesale grocery. Charles Henry Harrod's son Charles Digby Harrod expanded this store into a more diversified retail store that would eventually grow into the modern department store.

The stores and brand are owned by the Harrods group. Harrods sells its own brand of tea in its stores, which includes both tea bags and loose-leaf tea.

A blend of Assam from Brahmaputra River and assorted Rwanda tea. With strong aroma and favour, nice golden colour. Nothing unique though and slightly overpriced. Good with milk.

Picture of Harrods English Afternoon Tea

In London, and visited Harrods so had to buy something. The English Afternoon tea is nice and comes in a cute Harrods tea can. A bit pricey due to strong GBPound versus Canadian$. A mild aroma and light taste, its an ok brew to serve for high tea with scones.
