This is a very dark Darjeeling. I enjoyed it as a change of pace; most high-end tea companies tend to sell lighter Darjeelings but sometimes I like the darker ones. This is a CTC tea and it is insanely strong. I brewed for a little less than a minute, using less than a teaspoon of leaf, and it was still a bit strong for me. Broken-leaf, but not fannings like their English Breakfast. I brewed for only 1 minute. The cup was a very rich reddish brown color.
