This is Den's Tea special blend of Genmaicha with Matcha. This blend uses a tea ceremony grade of matcha and quality Bancha.

I am a big fan of Genmaicha and was really happy when Den's included this loose sample in with the rest of my latest order. (They do offer this in tea bags as well) I never had matcha mixed with Genmaicha before, and was a bit skeptical, but was happily surprised from the moment I opened the pouch. The sweet aroma of matcha complements the popcorn/roasted rice aroma of the Genmaicha perfectly. If you are really mindful you can probably even smell the nice quality green leaves of the bancha as well.
The flavor holds up nicely through at least two or three steepings, with the second steep usually being my favorite. Nice balance of natural sweetness with the nuttiness. The price is extremely reasonable, and gives you a nice healthy boost.
