Sometimes known as "Popcorn Tea", Genmaicha combines a Banca green tea with toasted rice and popped corn. Genmaicha has fresh notes of green tea and the aroma of toasted rice.

As always, the value for these teas is wonderful. This was my first time trying genmaicha, and I really did not care for it.
This loose leaf tea is made from corn and rice (essentially). You can really smell the rice, but with this combo the flavor is very bland. It tastes like you are drinking rice crispies with a sort of burnt undertone.
I think I will stick to eating my carbs rather than drinking tea made from them.
