This was the first time I ever tried this type of oolong. While this tea is pretty good for a teabag oolong, it falls far short of any loose Tung Ting / Dong Ding I've tried.
Smooth, very mellow, and sweet...but almost to the point of being bland. Tastes like you've added honey even without doing so. However, completely lacking in the floral complexity that many Tung Ting oolongs have.
Very pleasant and easy-to-drink though. Way ahead of most mainstream tea bag brands in the US, and definitely ahead of most of the low-quality oolongs you can get in cheap teabags in any Chinatown.
People who like mild teas may enjoy this one. For everyone else, I'd recommend paying a little bit more and getting the Ten Wu tea...it's smooth like this one but with a much bolder flavor and more complex, fresher aroma.
