Commercial Description
After a brief absence from our extensive list of Assam teas, we are pleased to offer this new selection from the ever-popular Dejoo Estate. The smooth, dark cup has a fresh aroma and is strong enough for the addition of milk. Recommended as an everyday Assam.
Brewing Instructions: (from Upton Tea Imports)
2¼ g/cup, 212°F, 4-5 min.

Dry leaf's aroma is more suggestive of a Keemun than an Assam. Brewing, I find this tea fits Upton's description very closely:
It's deep and malty, a faint hint of fruitiness (less than the dry leaf suggests), dark, but very smooth, and with some fresh herbaceous tones. Strong but without being overly bitter. Somewhat tannic upon drinking the whole cup.
The leaf appeared more broken than I was expecting. But this is a very inexpensive tea and offers good value.
