The taste starts out rich with notes of cocoa mixing cocoa butter creaminess and rich dark chocolate, this is accompanied by sweet caramelized sugar. At the beginning there is a hint of rich vanilla that builds around the mid-taste, this explodes into a sweet, creamy crescendo at the end which blends perfectly with the finishing notes of malt and pepper. The aftertaste is vanilla, and it lingers for quite a while.

This tea is soooo good. The dry tea smells like melted vanilla-flavoured chocolate. That delicious dessert-y experience extends right into the scent of the brewing tea, and then the taste of the tea itself. Rich, chocolatey, creamy, delicious. I've tasted chocolate-flavoured teas that were a lot less chocolatey than this, and yet the only flavouring is chopped up vanilla beans. Amazing. I added a little bit of milk and sugar today for an extra-indulgent experience, but the tea definitely doesn't need it. This is the tea I break out when I want to celebrate, or am in need of some serious comforting. So good. :)

The aroma is so intensely rich and so incredibly sweet, it is a blend of sweet vanilla (real vanilla, not vanilla extract smell) with a warm cocoa, a touch of honey, a pinch of cream, and a finish of sweet dried cherries. I admit when I first sniffed this teas I just kinda sat there in awe, I do not say this very often, but the aroma blend was perfection.

Wow, what a tea! I was a little worried because the dry tea smelled like chocolate, but there was also a sharp scent I couldn’t quite identify. Once steeped, I could just smell the chocolate. Yum.
The cocoa flavor is pronounced, but not overpowering. The tea has a lovely sweetness and doesn’t need any additives to be excellent. I’m really happy with this one. I’ll definitely repurchase.
This is made with real vanilla beans, but it tastes like a cocoa tea. Lovely!
