This review is old and since I wrote it, I have tried other Genmai cha's. For the price you pay, you're getting a pretty good quality product. The tea is a decent quality, slightly sweet sencha while the rice adds this warm nutty flavor to it. This is more of a winter tea for me, but it would go great with chicken stew.
