↑About Lyons
Lyons is an Irish brand of tea, owned by the Unilever corporation. Lyons tea was founded in 1902 in Dublin, and was purchased by Unilever in 1996.
Lyons has made a commitment to move towards having all of its tea produced in tea gardens certified by the Rainforest Alliance. The company has experimented briefly with a single-country Kenyan blend, but discontinued it, and sells only generic blends. In 2004, the company switched from flat tea bags to pyramid bags, for all their blends.
