Salada

First thing I noticed was the volume, so let's offer up a round of applause for Salada, for keeping 20 teabags per box. If inflation has to happen, I'd rather have it through higher prices for the same items than the more deceptive, underhanded practice of "shrinkflation", seen in other teas. As with many inexpensive, bagged green teas, this didn't offer much dry-bag or in-cup aroma, but what there was had a pleasantly grassy to vegetal characteristic that carried over somewhat to the taste, which was quite mild with hints of celery. Salada is an affordable choice for a decaf green tea and is widely available in supermarkets, but it has a bitter aftertaste with an almost chemical overtone. The aroma is acceptable. I would suggest a different brand if you can find it.

This combination of matcha and green tea was fairly non-descript. It wasn’t offensive, but it didn’t do much for me. Overbrewing does turn it a bit bitter, so be sure not to leave the bag in excessively. I still have more of the box, so I may update this entry if my opinion changes after a few tries.

This is another decaf bagged tea that is neither offensive nor pleasant. It is, in a word, generic.
