The Tea Shelf is a tea company based in Kolkata, India (Calcutta), founded in January 2015. It is owned by Cha Bazaar, which is a subsidiary of the JM Group of Companies. The Tea Shelf focuses on selling loose-leaf Indian teas globally, with a focus on unusual and unique artisan teas that are hard to obtain elsewhere.
The Tea Shelf sources teas exclusively from tea gardens that comply with the Indian Plantation Labor Act, and mostly sources from plantations that are certified by the Ethical Tea Plantation, the Rainforest Alliance, and meet HACCP and GMP standards and ISO 22000 certification.
