A lovely tea. Almost delicate, almost sweet, almost berry-like. Not much like the Ceylon teas it supposedly resembles. I think it could stand up easily to it's big brother, Darjeeling.It is bright, but smooth, with no tannic overtones. It is also Organic!

On its own, this is a kind of ho-hum tea, tastingkind of woody and over-roasted, without any grapiness to speak of. However, I added some cream to it and that rounded out all the rough edges and made it sweeter and good enough to have 3 cups in a row.

Very rich, smooth, deep, dark and delicious. Don't worry about the pu-erh, it just provides a good grounding note for the other teas and the chocolate. Many people are afraid of pu-erh and this gussied up version might be a good beginning. I would call this a treat for breakfast, as I would prefer a plainer tea, but...

This tea was developed by the "lower" classes in Japan, to stretch out the expensive tea. I'm not usually a fan of Japanese greens,but I like this one because the toasty, popcorny, nuttiness makesa great combination with the greeniness of the tea itself. I think this is better than many I have had of genmaicha
