I took a long time to review this tea because it didn't impress me at first, but I thought it would be better in hot weather, and having saved a bit for the warmer weather, it's exactly like I thought: I like this more on a hot day.

This tasted (but not looked) the most like a Chinese green tea of any green tea that...

Nepal 2nd Flush 2014 Dew Drops Green Tea from What-Cha

The aroma is a bit sweet, a blend of toasted sesame and freshly cut grass, a bit of distant floral and a touch of mineral at the finish. The tight little balls did not give up their scent easily, it required much sniffing, but the aroma that did come off of them was light and clean.

The taste of the first steep is ...

The aroma of the leaf balls is very green and quite sweet, there are notes of cut grass, freshly broken green stems, a tiny bit of hay, and a nice sharp finishing note of citrus. It has a very refreshing aroma that I hope carries over to the brewed tea.

The first steep can be summed up best as odd yet refreshing! As...

The aroma of the needles is as beautiful as the leaves, very light and delicate with notes of chestnuts, fresh hay, mown grass, and an ocean breeze. I have such a weakness for teas that have a marine note to their taste or aroma, it instantly transports me to the beach and that makes me immensely happy. I think I am ju...

Of all the green teas I've tried from India, this one was the closest to an actual, high-quality Chinese green tea, in character, yet it was still quite different.

Aroma complex: highly vegetal, with tones of asparagus, but with toasty qualities as well. Flavor is deep but clean. When steeped longer and at a highe...

This tea does not at all resemble what is normally known as green tea; it is darker even than many first-flush Darjeelings.

If you haven't ever tried any green or white tea from Darjeeling, Nepal, or surrounding areas, this tea will probably strike you as very unusual, but if you're familiar with these teas, it's ac...
