About Europe
Europe is a large and diverse region that in general is a major importer of tea but is not important in production of tea. The climate of most parts of Europe is too cold for growing the tea plant, but there are nonetheless a few places tea is grown in Europe, such as Gorreana Tea Factory and Plantation in Portugal.Europe is, however, a major producer of herbs and fruits for use in herbal teas. Many of the major plants used in herbal teas, including Chamomile, many species of mint, lemon balm, and Linden trees, are native to Europe.
