Dry leaf is finely broken yet twiggy; has a strong, unique aroma, like celery or dried dill, very fresh and herbaceous, and quite different from what I am used to from a green tea.
The brewed cup is surprisingly similar in aroma to the dry leaf. The cup has a cooling quality, slightly brisk, with some astringency and bitterness, and an aroma like dried dill and fresh celery. Some suggestion of floral tones in the aroma. Particularly refreshing on a hot day.
I was able to produce three infusions from this tea, using only a teaspoon of leaf and about 2, 3, and 5 minute infusions.. All cups were relatively flavorful and had a similar character.
Inexpensive, and more interesting than most Chinese green teas in this price range. But this seems like the type of green tea a lot of Westerners would be less a fan of though, and I'm not sure I'd want it to be an everyday tea for me.
