Brews a rich golden color. The aroma of this tea is more similar to a dragonwell tea than any other green tea I've tried, but the overall experience of drinking it is very different. Very aromatic, with a slightly toasty aroma. The flavor is muted and the tea has a cooler quality than dragonwell, with a hint of smokiness in the finish. It leaves a very clean feeling after drinking it.
I made a second infusion of 5 minutes from the same leaves and the result had some strength left. The second cup had a weaker aroma, but a noticeably sweeter flavor.
I tried brewing with slightly less leaf and for a longer time, but the result was not good. Use a generous quantity of leaf and you will be rewarded with a delicious cup and leaves that can be re-brewed for a second, sweeter cup. As a last note, I think this tea has a very reasonable price given its quality and complexity.
