Commercial Description
When Kenya tea first came to the auctions, Mr. Whittard blended it with the classic tastes of Assam and Ceylon. This rousing rich blend has been among our customers' favourites ever since. The well-rounded Kenya tea is still grown by smallholders and gives this blend a truly authentic flavour.

Sometimes you get really lucky and find a treasure where least expecting it, in this case I found this tea at a discount style close-out grocery store. Described by the box as a strong traditional black leaf blend, the tea certainly looks and smells strong. The aroma is rich and slightly nutty with a hint of malt from the Assam. I did not really smell any of the crisp citrus aroma from the Ceylon though.
I brewed it the way my dad (who was English) taught me to brew a traditional tea, with a spoonful of sugar and a dash of cream. The taste is rich but not overpowering. Crisp, bright, and a hint of malt makes for, in my opinion, the epitome of a perfect black tea.
