Ingredients: hibiscus, rosehip, blackberry, raspberry, salka, lemon, black currant, raspberry and wildberries flavors.
Overall: If you like strong tart or sour flavors this is a good choice. If you prefer something more delicate then probably avoid because it's very easy to oversteep.
Aroma: Dry tea has a strong, mouth-puckering tart berry smell; aroma in the cup is similar but not as loud.
Flavor: I normally dislike hibiscus-based teas, the flavor always seems to overwhelm everything else in there. (Which is unfortunate because it seems to be the base a lot of fruit tisanes.) In this particular case the blend works, though -- the tart hibiscus pairs with the raspberry and blackberry to make something that can range from sweet to mouth puckering depending on how long you steep it. I do have to be in the right mood for this one though.
Variations:
Sugar and milk can make it a more dessert-like tea.
Other personal notes:
- Long steep? Definitely no.
- Worth trying as an iced tea (I've let enough mugs go cold sitting by the computer...)
Availability: Received as part of a gift box but Wissotzky seems to be available in grocery stores, so start there.
