Hyson is a brand of Ceylon tea owned by Empire Teas (Pvt) Ltd, based in Colombo, Sri Lanka. The company exports 10-12 million kilograms of tea annually, placing it among the largest exporters of tea from Sri Lanka.
The name is a reference to hyson, or lucky dragon tea, a style of Chinese tea which includes young hyson and chun mee style teas.
