↑About Samovar Tea Lounge
Samovar Tea Lounge, which usually uses the screenname samovarlife is a tea house in San Francisco, CA. The company is named for a Samovar, a vessel used for making tea. The first Samovar Tea Lounge was opened in 2001; the company has since opened two more locations.
In addition to serving its own brand of tea in its tea lounges, Samovar Tea Lounge sells loose tea by mail-order through its website. Samovar offers mostly pure teas, including black, green, white, oolong, and Pu-erh, although they also have a few flavored teas. Their teas are classified by region. In addition to tea, Samovar also sells herbal teas, Rooibos, and Yerba mate.
Samovar carries some fair trade and organic teas, and also sells Hawaii-grown tea. All of Samovar's teas are packaged in fully compostable containers. The outside packaging is also made from post-consumer recycled cardboard.

They are right on the money when they describe the taste and aroma as: "Deep and malty with hints of baked, bittersweet chocolate and raisin sugar. Lightly roasted body with a slightly sweet finish."

Its name originates from the 18th century camel caravans that facilitated the transcontinental tea trade from tea-producing areas (namely India, Ceylon and China) to Europe via Russia. Although it is primarily considere...
