Pouring the tea into the cup, the color is a medium brown color. It smells sour with a complex flowery undertone. The taste is mildly sour but incredibly sweet. There are hints of a rose taste with overtone of a flower that I can not identify.

It is dark and rich with intense earthy tones. It is like mixing dark hot chocolate with espresso, taking the sweet and the bitter out of both.What is left is comforting and caffeinated. The liqueur is an amber color with hints of green. It smells sweet and sort of spiced, like there is something extra inside. The brew is made from chopped up licorice root, and there are no other spices, so I assume the spiced taste comes from the root itself.
