I like lemon verbena very much, and I find it a pleasant change of pace from other lemon-scented herbal teas. This batch was unusually bold in flavor, but its aroma was similar to other lemon verbena: lemony without being overwhelmingly so.

I picked up this blend from a friend, and I found it to be sickeningly sweet, to the point of being barely drinkable. Yerba mate is naturally quite sweet, so I do not see the need to sweeten it, and I tend to like unsweetened tea and herbal teas. The minute I heard about this new and unusual offering, I was fascinated and wanted to try it.
