A light-liquoring cup, with mild citrus aromas. The background is slightly vegetal with fully-realized tannins. The bergamont flavor supports but does not dominate. A supermarket tea with good character but small price.

Less tannic and lighter than English Breakfast blends, this tea is my go-to for afternoon sipping. A quintessential Chinese offering and packed in a tin.

A second-flush season black tea, this comes from the Brahmaputra valley. Light liquor with a moderate aroma and flavor. I found this tea to be a little too subtle and shy.

A light liquoring color combines with a slight flowery aroma. Medium astringency and moderate tannins make for a pleasant yet bold experience. This mass-market tea aims for a broad appeal and achieves it.
