Bongaigaon(বঙাইগাঁও in Assamese) is a district in lower Assam, India. It stretches from Bongaigaon south to the north banks of the Brahmaputra river, and includes the Manas river where it flows into the Brahmaputra. Bongaigaon is b ordered to the west by Dhubri and to the south by Goalpara.

It was formed in 1989 out of parts of Goalpara and Kokrajhar districts, but in 2004 was reduced in size as part of it was taken to make the newer Chirang district. As such, maps of Assam don't always consistently reflect this district's current size and location and older maps don't display it at all. Sources writing about tea may handle tea grown in this district inconsistently because of the changing boundaries.

Bongaigaon grows some tea, which is occasionally available in the West.
