This tea was surprisingly good and I think was one of the best flavored teas that I've tried yet from Mighty Leaf, definitely my favorite black tea of theirs too. Served in Central Perk Coffee Shop in Newark, DE.
The base tea has a strong warming quality and is rich and aromatic. On the website, I see they list tea as being a blend from China and Sri Lanka; the Chinese black tea is evident in this blend, with a warming quality and a rich but smooth heartiness.
The vanilla flavoring is subtle, not at all overdone. In contrast with some teas, the vanilla tastes neither creamy nor like bourbon vanilla. I don't know how to describe it but it blends very well with the base tea.
This would be a vanilla-flavored black tea to cater more to the tastes of pure tea enthusiasts (like myself).
I recommend steeping this quite long. Three minutes wasn't too long, six minutes tasted a lot better to me. Alternatively you could use a smallish cup (8 ounces might be good, 12 ounces might be too small).

This tea has, unsurprisingly, a distinctly 'black tea lightly sweetened with vanilla' aroma. (In fact, the only other ingredient listed is "natural flavors".) In general, I like the simplicity of its design. After tasting it, I'm a fan of the vanilla, but I think I may not be a black tea person. I prefer teas that don't need sweetening (I've noticed weirdness with myself and sugar lately), and for me this one does. I added some non-dairy creamer and that improved the flavor somewhat, but ultimately this one simply isn't for me.
I do like Mighty Tea's sachets. As the reviewer mentioned below, the tea does plump up nicely inside it. Also, since it's biodegradable, I'll add not only the used tea but also cut up pieces of the sachet to my compost bin. So I give the company kudos for having said "green" manufacturing/design. :-)

VERY STRONG vanilla scent and flavor, which I adore. A bit pricier than other vanilla teas I've had, but the added flavor made it worth it. I enjoy this with cream and sweetener.
The black tea carries the flavor well, and the tea itself is beautiful in its silken teabag. Plumps up nicely in hot water.
