Eh. Meh. Maybe I am just not a Tulsi (Holy Basil) girl. I love it in Curries. I love it on chicken - but maybe not as a morning cuppa. Meanwhile It tastes OK - not great and not awful, I think I will need to try a few more tulsi teas before I make a final determination - but at first sip - I'm not lovin' it.

This tea wasn't exactly what I was expecting when I tried it for lunch the other day. I was surprised by its strong spicy smell, and from the strength of the smell, how weak the tea was.
Compared to other Tulsi teas I've had, this one was more aromatic. The flavor itself reminded me of a regular green tea, mild without much flavor.
I wouldn't go out of my way for this tea, I've had other Tulsi that I've enjoyed more!

For some reason, I did not expect to like this one, I think in large part because I've had pretty bad experiences with finely-broken green tea in tea bags, and I also don't see Tulsi's characteristic flavor and aroma blending as well with green teas as I think it does with black tea.
Although I still wasn't crazy about this blend (I strongly prefer the black tea version from Organic India, India Breakfast), this blend definitely exceeded my expectations.
Brews a rich golden color. Aroma is dominated by the tulsi. Flavor is mild and slightly sour.
I don't think I'd drink this again. It was drinkable but I'd prefer any number of other teas or herbal teas.
