This was a special release from Upton, meant to be a replica of one of the teas tossed overboard during the Boston Tea Party. It is a blend of China Congou and Chinese Bohea - the latter is a new one for me. It originates in the Wuyi Mountains and may have been the first black tea sold to the British. Overall this is an overpriced, but pleasant tea experience. It is smooth, with light woody notes and a little honey-like sweetness. There is a whiff of dark forests in the aroma. It is not robust enough to be a breakfast tea imo, but it is not lacking in any way.

The aroma has a hint of sweetness. The liquor has a pleasing medium brown color. The flavor is mild with no strong after taste. This would a be a gentle start to your day.
