It's alright! Not as good as their regular tea! It didn't produce a particularly glimmering, sparkly effect, as I was expecting. Wasn't too happy about that. I practically threw my pot on the floor. But I drank it. And it was alright. There wasn't no gold in this tea...

The dry tea is CTC tea that has been ground up further, almost to dust. It smells earthy and vegetal.
The scent of the brewing tea is oaky, but mild. The flavor is stronger than the aroma would indicate, but is still quite mellow. The tea has nice body, but the flavors are muted. It's not particularly bitter or astringent, but there aren't really any other flavors to note, either.
This tea is inoffensive and easy to drink, but there are better teas for the price.

It is a good tea - upmarket for standard tea which is not known to be very good quality anymore in the UK although I live in Canada where the same applies. It is upmarket for an English Breakfast blend and quite a good one. Good with milk although also without or the addition of other things as it is a more upmarket tea than standard English Breakfast commercial brands

Love this tea - although I prefer waking to coffee, happy with this tea also, and its great in the afternoon. Bought this in England, though I'm told its available for a premium at some speciality stores. Great with toast and marmalade or banana bread. Already looking forward to next cup.

My wife tells me that this tea reminds her of the best of the teas from her father's shop in Canada. An elegant yet rich afternoon tea; my choice when friends drop in or after dinner. Splash of milk is all this beauty needs. Way above an average tea.

Brewing for about 4 minutes yields a nice rich golden color and a malty scent. Nothing fancy about the taste, but it's just what I look for in a quick breakfast (or early afternoon) tea- slightly bitter, malty, with a faint hint of fruit on top. This is of course a tea that would do well with a drop of milk and some sugar. But I usually prefer it strong and dark. This tea does not have any of the delicate nuances of an Assam, but it definitely delivers the goods when you are sleepy, and just need a reviving cup.

This is a very straightforward English tea. Not a lot of nuances, but no nonsense either. It is assuredly malty and strong, just how I like my black teas. Ideal for mornings, when you don't want to think about what to make, just do it. Ideal for the cream and sugar crowd, in fact, I think it is best with a bit of cream.
