This is easily my favorite mate. I love the blend of mate with chocolate and spices. The nutmeg and cinnamon are wonderful. I also enjoy the natural sweetness the stevia gives the blend. The taste is almost like a chocolate chai with a mate base instead of black tea. Overall a wonderful drink, especially in the cold wi...

Not bad. The spices before brewing smell delicious, but their flavor is more muted in the drink. Both the spice and the chocolate are a bit more understated than I would like. I think I've been spoiled by hot chocolate when it comes to judging chocolate tea.

Certainly worth a shot, but still not the chocolate tea of...

Don't be fooled by the cheap-looking teabag or reasonable price tag, this is an absolutely delicious on-the-go mate. I have to ration myself, otherwise I'd probably drink three or four bags a day, which wouldn't be so bad as the caffeine has a very gentle curve. Wait, why exactly do I ration this?

In any case, expec...

Drinking this in my gourd this morning while doing housework. Yerba Mate is one of my great loves. There is nothing like a warm gourd amigo to help me get through my day. It makes my body feel light and airy, and hums around my feet and hands. Strange, I know, but this is the only way I can properly describe it.

There's something immensely comforting to me about the smell of this tea bag, even though I've never tried it before. It reminds me of the modern language building at Franklin and Marshall College, Keiper hall, a place I spent a lot of time as a kid. It also reminds me a little of Celestial Seasonings' Tension Tamer....

The aroma is herbaceous, similar to sage but with a sharper quality, with a sweet, fruity aftertone. The aroma is a bit hard to describe, Yerba Mate has a very distinct aroma that is all its own and I have not found anything that it smells like to compare it to.

The taste starts quite sweet and fruity but it fades t...

In college we used to drink this one before art history exams, in hopes that it would make the subject more interesting. It did not, but man does it kick you in the face. Certainly made for some fun times.

The flavor is as grassy and clean as you'd expect from a yerba mate, though there's a tinge of orange in the ...

This is a decent everyday tea. It has a slight grassy aroma with a more noticeable smooth herbal flavor along with a greenish-amber coloring. A filling tea with some relaxation.

This is the first type of Yerba Mate I've tried and I'll definitely be having it again. It had a strong grassy scent and looked like green tea, but I felt like the flavor reminded me of a favorite black without a strong aftertaste. Aside from taste and scent, I also like that this tea is organic and fair-trade.

This is one of the best Matés on the market. It is now the only Maté I will buy. The flavor is brighter and has more depth than the traditional Maté that Guayaki offers. This is good prepared in a gourd, a french press, a drip coffee brewer, a teapot, and an on the go brewing mug (yes I have tried all these ways). I...
