Sencha Kyoto Cherry Rose Festival from English Tea Store

This is a green tea with a powerful floral aroma of cherry and rose. Naturally sweet, it needs only a small amount of sweetener for my taste. The green tea base is substantial and the brew is amber in color. My only reservation is the "flavored with rose and cherry" which leads me to wonder at the ingredients.

Very good Lapsang Souchong tea with a pronounced smokey aroma that along with the black tea base results in a very umami tea. Goes great with a hearty breakfast. I brew mine in an 8 oz teacup for 5 minutes and serve with a teaspoon of honey.

This is my favorite Earl Grey tea. Well balanced Bergamot flavor. Nice large tea bags w/o strings. It is hard to come by in the U.S. and is not hermetically sealed so the quality varies depending on how the tea is stored. My recent mail-order from Amazon was a disappointment even though the expire date is 18 mo. awa...
