I will likely revise this review after a few more times trying this tea. It seems high quality with a grassy quality, but I can’t decide how I feel about the bitter undertones. I generally am not a fan of bitter teas. To be fair, it might be a fault of my brewing. I do overall enjoy this tea, though, so long as it is...

Darjeeling from Two Leaves and a Bud

In my opinion, among the best offerings by Two Leaves Tea. This is a very well done Darjeeling. A bit pricy for bagged tea, but worth it when you're in the mood to splurge. It doesn't need a long steep, either. Mmmmmm. It's really hitting the spot tonight.

Organic Darjeeling (Makaibari Estate) from Bare Tea

Quite a nice Darjeeling. It isn't as complex or raisin-like as some others, but it certainly fits in with the better-than-most-black-teas-by-a-lot crowd. Like other Darjeelings, it strikes me as a better version of Southern tea than actual Southern teas. For me, this makes an excellent everyday drinking tea. Not only i...

Very smooth, fresh tea. I definitely like the lighter, non-bitter taste of Darjeelings compared against regular black teas. The first cup of this one was particularly good, while the second one was slightly weaker in flavor. Still, I enjoyed the very lightly floral taste, which contributed a pleasant complexity to the ...

Despite leaving the leaves to brew a little longer than I originally intended (meant to brew for 3 minutes, but ended up closer to 5), this is a very smooth tea. I brewed it at 180 °F. This would make a very good general purpose, share it with friends sort of tea. There's no bitterness, I like the almost-floral aroma,...

Very interesting tea! It's only my second Darjeeling and, so far, I think this will be my preferred style of black tea. It doesn't have the bitterness of most black teas, and this one has a light raisin-like flavor that works quite well with the delicately savory body of the tea. The aroma smells lightly of a licorice-...

My first Darjeeling, and quite good! I can't detect much (if any) of the bitterness I associate with black teas. It tastes like a *good quality* version of the tea used for sweet iced tea (and unsweetened tea) in the southern U.S. If I wanted to serve tea at a summer social gathering, I could imagine brewing up a stron...
