A bit earthy for my taste. I prefer a lighter breakfast tea, but this is still well worth the brew, especially with milk and sugar.

Opened a fresh package of this wonderful loose leaf blend, and enjoyed the fresh aroma of the dry leaves: earthy, slightly smoky and a light honey scent as well. Just over three minutes as a steep with boiling water. Beautiful color and a malty aroma begins to develop.
I am not sure I would classify this as a traditional English Breakfast Tea, since the inclusion of Black Keemun gives a more nuanced flavor and faint smokiness rather than the more traditional robust boldness. There is a wonderful complexity of both flavor and aroma that I enjoy and am not used to finding at such a reasonable price.
If you are looking for a bolder and more robust cup, you might try Adagio's Irish Breakfast Blend, which is a mixture of Assam and Ceylon teas.
