This blend, which has since been discontinued, is an odd one. I can see why it was discontinued, but I'm glad that I was able to try it when it was available.
Tazo adds citric acid, "natural flavors", and orange peel to black tea to create this blend. Unlike Tazo passion, another blend with added citric acid, which I find to be undrinkably acidic, I find this one is just a tad too sour for my tastes. It is more sour than I'd like, but not undrinkably so.
The citrus aroma comes across as flat and somewhat artificial...it's more like candied orange, but without the sweetness. However, the effect is not unpleasant.
The base tea is very strong, a tannic blend that holds up well to the sourness. This tea also can hold its own with milk, something I tested out mainly out of curiosity. It is so sour that initially it curdles the milk somewhat, but upon mixing it, it comes out okay. But that's all this tea is...okay.
