This tea was served to me, Gong Fu style, by Evan. Dry leaf was extremely aromatic.
I found it to be simultaneously strong and refined. The other mao feng green teas I've tried have either been relatively coarser-tasting, with more astringency, or smooth but too weak. This was a powerful tea with a bold flavor, but also very smooth and gentle. I would not describe this tea as being very orchid-like (not even relative to other green teas), although it was strongly floral. It had a deeper sort of quality, and some grassy tones when drinking, not evident as much in the dry leaf.
I can't really do justice to the experience of drinking it in a review here. Suffice it to say, I think this was definitely my favorite mao feng green tea that I've sampled yet.
