Aroma somewhat earthy, very woody, only very slightly fruity. Flavor smooth, not even a trace of bitterness, and only minimally sour, but moderately astringent, leaving a bit of a dry aftertaste. I really notice wood more than anything else...tastes a lot like tree bark.
I've had better rooibos and I've had worse. Compared to Wegmans other offerings, I'd say this is below average. Wegmans has tended to impress me with their loose-leaf tea, but this rooibos strikes me as average and does not leave much of an impression.
