↑About Ajiri Tea
Ajiri Tea is a tea company founded with the goal of creating employment and educating orphans in Western Kenya. The company launched selling a single type of black tea from Kenya, but it has expanded into also selling green tea from this region, as well as blends with other ingredients, rooibos, and coffee as well.
Ajiri's Tea is produced at the Nyansiongo Tea Factory, in the Kisii district of Kenya, which is certified by the Rainforest Alliance. The boxes are constructed of labels, bead, and twine made by women in Kisii. The name "Ajiri" means employment in Swahili, reflecting the mission of the company.

Sampled at the Philly Coffee and Tea Festival.
Intensely aromatic: although most rooibos strikes me as more or less similar, this one actually stood out. The aroma is both powerful and complex, earthy, and with tones of vanilla. Medium-body, with a creamy texture.

This tea is interesting. It has a kind of smoky aroma, and a crisp flavor. It's a bit bitter, but I like it. I added cream and sugar.
