About Charleston Tea Plantation (American Classic Tea)

The Charleston Tea Plantation is a tea plantation located in Charleston, SC, with its own brand of tea, currently owned by Bigelow Tea. The plantation had been closed for years, but was reopened by Bigelow in 2006. When it reopened it originally sold tea under the American Classic Tea brand, but this has been eclipsed by the "Charleston Tea Plantation" branding.

This is a great classic black tea! It doesn’t have a super strong aroma or any rly unique qualities but it’s just so smooth and delicious that I have to give it such a high score anyway! This is a go-to breakfast tea for me. It's a little on the lighter side, not as robust as some of my other choices, but good for a slow. leisurely wake up.

I like this tea. It's rich, strong, and not too bitter. I added cream and sugar. I probably wouldn't buy it myself because it has a lot of plastic packaging.

I have been to the plantation which is a great experience. This is a very very good tea. Top notch. It tastes great all by itself without any sweetener or milk. I normally use both but it says a lot when a tea can be enjoyed on its own.
