↑About Hampstead Tea
Hampstead Tea is tea company based in the UK. Hampstead Tea sells mostly organic, fair-trade tea from Makaibari Estate in Darjeeling, India, although it sells a few teas from other regions, and it also blends a few ingredients from other regions into its flavored teas. Makaibari estate goes beyond the base requirements for organic and fair trade certification, and has more recently embraced biodynamic agriculture. It is owner-managed and two-thirds of the area of the estate is left as undisturbed rainforest.
Hampstead sells black, green, and white teas, including a few flavored teas. Their teas are available both loose and in teabags.

This actually tastes like Darjeeling: the fruity, woody notes are similar to the loose leaf Darjeeling teas I've had, and it even has that smooth muscatel flavor (or at least the flavor I taste in most Darjeeling tea that I associate with the word "muscatel"). I wasn't terribly impressed with this one.
The base tea tasted a little bland and generic to me. Hampstead does not share where the base tea is from, but it tastes more like Ceylon tea than anything else. The bergamot presence is light. Some slightly odd tones in the aroma, including black pepper and something su...
A very good, easy going black tea. Not a very noticeable aroma, either in the bag or steeped, but still there and akin to most black teas with a fruity hint. Taken with a decent amount of sugar, it was still easy to discern a sweetness to the tea without any bite and mild astringency.
Read Full ReviewI really enjoyed this tea! I found it's aroma and taste to both be floral, light, and a bit sweet. As someone who usually sticks to english breakfast or earl grey, I found this delicate flavor refreshing. I drank it with milk, but I think it would have been perfect with a touch of honey. I even steeped it slightly long...
