The company is named for jasmine pearls, a style of tea that was a source of inspiration for the company's founder, Chuck. The company carries a wide variety of teas, including, but not limited to jasmine pearls.
The Jasmine Pearl Tea Company sells a number of USDA Organic certified teas, and also uses 100% recycled canisters, 30% recycled labels, compostable lids, and certified compostable linings, in their packaging.

The aroma is mild and sweet, with notes of dried cherry and peonies (aha, so that is where the name comes from!) with a very delicate note of nasturtium and raisins, vaguely reminding me of a Darjeeling.
