Honey Bee (Honeybee) from DAVIDsTEA
Style: Miscellaneous Blend – Region: Blend80 / 100 Aroma: 8/10 Flavor: 4/5 Value: 4/5
Jul. 1st, 2014
Method: 1.5 tsp, 8 oz, 185 degrees, 6 minutes, French Press
Dry Leaf & Brewing Aroma: Smells like honey. Nothing more, nothing less. LOL
Flavor: This tastes like honey. The tea is also sweet on its own, but I did add a little sweetener about half way through. It's a pretty tea, with the cornflowers, and it...
Chocolate Macaroon from DAVIDsTEA
Style: Flavored Black Tea – Region: Blend67 / 100 Aroma: 7/10 Flavor: 3/5 Value: 3/5
Jun. 30th, 2014
Method: 1.5 tsp, 8 oz, 205 degrees, 5 minutes, French Press
Dry Leaf Aroma: Chocolate with a hint of coconut
Flavor: I get some chocolate, but no coconut. The flavor is weak at a 5 min steep. Instructions were 4-7 minutes, so it might be better at 6 or 7 min. I have enough for one cup remaining, so I'll giv...
Shooting Starfruit from DAVIDsTEA
Style: Flavored White Tea – Region: Blend63 / 100 Aroma: 7/10 Flavor: 3/5 Value: 4/5
May. 27th, 2014
I received this as a sample with my last order, and I wish there was a little more in the sample pack, because I think this would be a good cold brew tea.
As a hot tea, this was pretty ok. The aroma was lovely and it had a fruit flavor that didn't really taste like anything I am familiar with. Unfortunately, it ...
Pink Lemonade from DAVIDsTEA
Style: Hibiscus Tea – Region: Blend80 / 100 Aroma: 8/10 Flavor: 4/5 Value: 4/5
May. 21st, 2014
This is so perfect for warm weather. It's a pretty dark pink shade, from the hibiscus, and the lemon flavor is really lovely and strong. I drank this hot, but I can already tell it will be excellent as a cold brew.
I do wonder why David's uses artificial flavorings. Artificial lime? Really? Because the real thi...
Bear Trap from DAVIDsTEA
Style: Fruit (Herbal) Tea – Region: Blend67 / 100 Aroma: 7/10 Flavor: 3/5 Value: 3/5
May. 19th, 2014
I'm a little disappointed in this tea. Not that it isn't good, because it is. But it tastes very similar to the Redberry Tonic, also by Davids Tea. The two smell and taste nearly the same to me. If I was blindfolded and given a sample of each tea, I don't think I could tell the difference.
I brewed this accordin...
Amaretto from DAVIDsTEA
Style: Wellness Tea / Medicinal Tea – Region: Blend63 / 100 Aroma: 7/10 Flavor: 3/5 Value: 3/5
May. 17th, 2014
I received this in a tea swap and made it for my Mom, because she absolutely loves amaretto!
Of course, I had to sample her cup and while the flavor isn't my fave, I did enjoy it. I steeped this at 208 degrees for 5 minutes. It smells like almond, and it tastes like almond. Truth in advertising!
I added abou...
Redberry Tonic from DAVIDsTEA
Style: Fruit (Herbal) Tea – Region: Blend87 / 100 Aroma: 8/10 Flavor: 5/5 Value: 4/5
Apr. 29th, 2014
Excellent herbal tea! It smells awesome before steeping. Kind of fruity, but I don't pick out one particular berry scent. This was brewed for 5 minutes and turns a pretty red color.
It's lightly sweet and pleasant. The fruity taste is great, and doesn't need any sweetener.
I made this in the evening when frie...
Pom Tango from DAVIDsTEA
Style: Fruit Black Tea – Region: Blend70 / 100 Aroma: 7/10 Flavor: 4/5 Value: 3/5
Apr. 29th, 2014
Good aroma, good flavor. This was brewed for 5 minutes and served hot without milk or sugar. It tastes more strongly of mango than pomegranate.
I liked it, but it didn't wow me. This would probably be great as an iced tea and I'll update if I try it that way.
Cool Cucumber from DAVIDsTEA
Style: Flavored Black Tea – Region: Blend30 / 100 Aroma: 4/10 Flavor: 1/5 Value: 3/5
Apr. 29th, 2014
Oh my. I hate to be so negative, but this is just gross. It smells like cucumber before brewing. While steeping, it smells more like cucumber and mint, which is interesting because there's no mint in the ingredients list. I didn't smell/taste the melon in the description.
This was steeped for 5 minutes with boiling...
Bollywood Chai from DAVIDsTEA
Style: Chai / Spiced Tea – Region: ?????80 / 100 Aroma: 8/10 Flavor: 4/5 Value: 4/5
Apr. 29th, 2014
Yum! This tea smells amazing, is very pretty, and tastes great!
It contains tiny fennel seed candies, which are fun and add sweetness. I'd eat the candies alone! The pink peppercorns can also clearly be smelled and tasted.
I steeped this for 5 min using boiling water. I didn't add sugar or milk, but may try th...
Glitter & Gold from DAVIDsTEA
Style: Flavored Black Tea – Region: Blend80 / 100 Aroma: 8/10 Flavor: 4/5 Value: 4/5
Apr. 29th, 2014
I'm a sucker for pretty things, and this tea is really gorgeous. It contains gold sugar beads and little silver sugar crystals.
Before, during, and after steeping, the smell is awesome. It's spicy and sweet smelling. I infuse this for around 5 minutes.
The taste is very good, and the spiciness apparent in ...
Organic Blueberry Jam from DAVIDsTEA
Style: Flavored Black Tea – Region: ?????63 / 100 Aroma: 8/10 Flavor: 3/5 Value: 3/5
Apr. 29th, 2014
I'm learning that most flavored teas smell great, but don't always have the best flavor. It's not to say that I don't enjoy them, but many taste at least a little artificial.
This is an ok tea, but it's not amazing. I steep it for about 5 minutes and it has a subtle blueberry flavor. I think I need to get over ...
Chocolate Rocket from DAVIDsTEA
Style: Flavored Yerba Maté – Region: Blend77 / 100 Aroma: 9/10 Flavor: 4/5 Value: 3/5
Apr. 28th, 2014
If I'm drinking a flavored tea, I like to easily discern the advertised favors. I shouldn't need to go hunting for the chocolate in a tea called "Chocolate Rocket". And with this one, there's no search needed.
Woo! Chocolate! I even pick up some of the raspberry in the tea description.
The smell is amazing, t...
Toasted Walnut from DAVIDsTEA
Style: Flavored Green Tea – Region: Blend50 / 100 Aroma: 6/10 Flavor: 2/5 Value: 3/5
Apr. 28th, 2014
DAVIDs Toasted Walnut tea smells great, but the flavor is lacking. Before and during steeping, the sweet scent is quite pleasant. To me, it smells like baking cookies.
I steeped the recommended amount for around 3 minutes to start, and had a little test sip. The flavor was very weak. I let it brew for another ...
