Chocolate Chip from Adagio Teas
Style: Flavored Black Tea – Region: Sri Lanka / Ceylon67 / 100 Aroma: 8/10 Flavor: 3/5 Value: 4/5
Apr. 12th, 2013
The tea leaves smell very chocolaty but sadly I felt like the tea just tasted burnt. Also tastes a bit bitter like dark chocolate which I liked and felt complimented the tea taste. Wish it did not have the burnt taste or it would be a favorite!

At first I was worried because all I could smell was vanilla when I opened the tea, no smell of tea! After steeping that changed, the vanilla mixed with the green smell of the tea. The tea tastes wonderful! Slightly sweet with mild vanilla and bright green. Definitely a favorite!

The aroma of this tea is sweet with notes of loam, tobacco, raisins, old flowers (think orchids that are not rotten but are certainly on their last legs, smells heady and a little dead) and honey. There is a nice finishing note of smoke which gives this tea a real autumnal feel to it.
Tasting the tea, in a way it is...
Yunnan Gold (Golden Yunnan) from Adagio Teas
Style: Yunnan Gold – Region: Yunnan, China73 / 100 Aroma: 7/10 Flavor: 4/5 Value: 3/5

The aroma is very light and floral and the taste matches! I find the taste to be a mix of floral and citrus with a very mild tea flavor. Very subtle and enjoyable!
I only got a sample if this tea but definitely plan on getting more from Agagio as it might be my favorite of their teas
Toasted Sesame from Adagio Teas
Style: Flavored Black Tea – Region: Sri Lanka / Ceylon43 / 100 Aroma: 3/10 Flavor: 2/5 Value: 4/5

The aroma of the leaves and the tea itself are very bland, no toasted sesame at all just a vague burnt smell.
Sadly I found this tea disappointing, it tastes like a decent black tea but there is not sesame taste except for a vague burnt taste. I was hoping for a bold sesame taste but did not get that.
Almond Oolong from Adagio Teas
Style: Flavored Oolong – Region: Taiwan / Formosa53 / 100 Aroma: 4/10 Flavor: 3/5 Value: 3/5
Dec. 2nd, 2012
The initial aroma of the leaves is unmistakably almond, sadly I do not smell any Oolong at first and that made me a bit hesitant. After brewing the smell of almond subsides and the oolong shows itself. The taste is very mild, light almond and Oolong flavors for an overall subtle tea.
