Aside from the blackcurrant, the flavoring in this is rather subtle. The tea base is moderately rich and has a darkness in color as well as taste. It is almost a bit too tart but that's where the faint vanilla and caramel rescue it to give it some sweetness.

It's a good example of blending done well with flavoring...

Royal Blend from Fortnum & Mason

This has a smooth, rich flavor, although with a touch of sharpness (short steeping time is better). It practically begs to have milk added, which I don't typically do. The aroma of this tea is clean and straightforward, with a slight pungency that perks you up. The taste is simple, mellow, and lightly sweet. It's a great tea to drink slowly, savoring the richness with every sip. The liquor is fairly dark but that doesn't really detract from the taste.

Although at the lowest end of...

This has a pleasant, earthy aroma that fades too quickly once you drink it. I was let down by the fairly bland taste. It's labeled as a blend of Ceylon and Indian teas; the Ceylon taste comes through the strongest and there isn't much to it past that.

It's acceptable with some additions, but I doubt I'd get it agai...
