I'm quite familiar with the scent of Eucalyptus, but I've never had an herbal tea brewed just from the pure leaves of the plant before. I was curious to try this one, and it turned out to be interesting.
Besides the usual eucalyptus scent, that sort of minty aroma that is quite strongly suggestive of Vick's Vapor Rub, this also has deeper tones, a lot like the aroma of lemon myrtle minus the lemon. I wonder if this is because both lemon myrtle and eucalyptus are derived from trees that originate in a similar region of the world, or if it's just a coincidence. Also, this has a quite peppery quality too, which I found added to its complexity.
The color and body of the cup is light, but there's depth and complexity to the flavor and aroma. It's not fleetingly cooling though, the way I was expecting...it seems more balanced in this way.
I found this pleasant and would drink it again. It's also inexpensive, I think offering quite a deal.
