Commercial Description
This classic Fortnum's blend, low-grown Flowery Pekoe from Ceylon lends an uplifting note to the maltier Assam to make a very traditional cup of tea. First blended for King Edward VII in the summer of 1902, Royal Blend has been popular ever since for its smooth, almost honey-like flavour.

A rather strong and sharp tea that suits milk tea very well. I tend to mix this with other teas to make their flavor more mild. It’s my go to if I just want rich delicious milk tea with honey.

This has a smooth, rich flavor, although with a touch of sharpness (short steeping time is better). It practically begs to have milk added, which I don't typically do. Taken black, I find it a little lacking in sweetness. The aroma comes more from the Ceylon and is pleasantly nutty, while the Assam ensures a malty finish.
I'm unsure about the value as this was a gift from someone who'd recently visited London.

Fortnum & Mason teas always bring back good memories of trips to London with my father years ago. Royal Blend is a strong one - less strong than, say, Irish Breakfast, but a black tea blend for sure with a tannic aroma and a pleasant "wake up" bite. I like this tea very much and it stands up to milk or cream & sugar - in the very English way.
I never use milk and rarely sweeten my tea so it's a bit string for me - but I still like it sooooo much better than "Lipton in a bag".
This is a REAL tea drinker's tea!

Royal Blend is my favorite tea. For my taste buds this is the ultimate but I am always ready to find some tea that is better.

Good, traditional British blend with malty Assam and Ceylonese Pekoe. Best suited as a breakfast or morning tea. The refreshing Pekoe plesantly lifts the punchier Assam making an enjoyable brew. Nice aroma but a touch on the pricey side.
