Commercial Description
Native to South Africa, the honeybush plant derives its name from its yellow flower and honey-scented aroma. It brews a warm red-brown color in the cup and is full-bodied with a slightly sweet and spicy aftertaste. Naturally caffeine free.

One of two companies we are aware of to ever sell honeybush in tea bags; the other, Numi's Honeybush, is still available. This product was discontinued, but Stash still sells an Organic Vanilla Honeybush Herbal Tea in tea bags.

Aroma strongly peppery, much more so than a typical honeybush. Only slightly fruity. Very flavorful: a rich flavor with some bite, more like black tea, but with a smoother aftertaste. Mild, earthy finish.
Relatively simple and staightforward, but pleasing. Above-average for the quality I'd expect from a teabag.
