Commercial Description

Taste the Hawaiian islands with bursts of tropical flavor from this exceptional herbal tisane. Lusciously golden and juicy pineapple combines perfectly with apple bits and fragrant blossoms abound. It's 'Ono, mikomiko' (delicious)!

Brewing Instructions: (from Teavana)

Use 1.5 teaspoons of tea per 8oz of water. Heat water to 208 degrees (just boiling) and steep for 5 to 6 minutes. For stronger flavor, use more tea. 2oz of tea equals 25-30 teaspoons.

I go through this stuff fairly quickly. It's sweet but not sugary, aromatic but benign enough to be useful in a number of different drinking contexts, and it's fruity-- fruitily tart, one might say, but neither sour nor aggressive. Well-balanced, one might say.

In the summer, I cold-brew it in 24 oz. mason jars like the filthy hipster I am, leaving it in the work fridge for my coworkers to harass me about ("But I thought all tea came in Snapple bottles!" they lament). It is probably the best iced tea I have ever made, and it is enjoyable for a summer afternoon or a winter's day alike.

Teavana's stuff is all 'zorbz, so it's one of those retail therapy, "every time I feel way too bummed about life I drive all the way out to the mall to think about how neatly ordered things are in the mass consumer economy and invariably am gonna drop a buck at Teavana" kinds of indulgences.

Candied pineapple with assorted fruits and flowers. Nice! A balanced mixture of tartness and sweetness for those who love robust fruity flavors. There is no need for additional sweetening.

The pineapple, the strongest taste by far, tastes natural rather than fake. The rest of the flavors are the support team, and they do their job well.

Makes solid second and third cups, too.

This is one of my favorites, even it is herbal.

You can appreciate the pinapple with and slight flavor or flowers, this tea has five different petals.

My 8 year old LOVED this iced and unsweetened and had sample after sample after sample of it at a Teavana store in Boca Raton, FL. We broke down and bought her some. Expensive and uber-fruity. Very good iced. No sweetener needed. You can really smell and taste pineapple in there. So pricey - as are all Teavana. This is my kids fave from Teavana. P.S. Now that Starbucks bought out Teavana - you can get this in Starbucks!
