Dry leaf consists of large pieces of broken leaf, mostly light brown, with some greenish and silvery.
Strongly reminiscent of a Darjeeling, and with a typical, middle-of-the-road Darjeeling character. Aroma is bright, fruity, and light, with a lot of the muscatel grape quality. There's also a hint of spruce needles in the aroma. Cup is dark in color and pleasingly full-bodied. Flavor is slightly edgy., with some pleasant bitterness. More bitter than sour, which I like. A hint of dusty qualities, and some astringency. Leaves a lingering hint of wintergreen as well.
This was an enjoyable tea. It is quite reasonably priced as well.
