Classic morning pot of tea if you like your tea strong enough to stand up to milk, yet not bitter or tannic. I used to fuss with making my own 'English breakfast blend' in search of the perfect combination of boldness and color -- hate weak, pale-colored tea in the morning -- but without adding bitterness or a smoky or malty aroma. Kenilworth Estate OP, steeped 5-1/2 minutes, delivers what I want without the fuss and at great price for drinking every day.

A classic Ceylon. Aroma of the dry leaf is fruity, but this doesn't come through in the brewed cup.
Brews a dark but surprisingly clear cup. Earthy, with savory qualities. Aroma suggests potato and wintergreen, a hint of malt and cocoa. Astringent finish. Not the smoothest tea, and particularly, with more astringency than I'd like. I prefer brewing for a briefer infusion and with less leaf than Upton recommends for this reason.

The aroma of this tea is wonderful. And the flavor is very clean and brisk, just not the most complex.
