This has a lot of woodsmoke/cigar tobacco in the aroma and the flavor. There is a something else in there too, some woody and savory notes, enough so that I began to wonder if I was drinking some kind of sausage beverage and not a tea (lol). But this black dragon is all about the smoke, which is something that I enjoy from time to time. It would be interesting to try blending this with another tea to tone it down a little. Upton sells this at an attractive price, and it appears to be one of their staples.

Hear me roar! I can't tell if I like it or not, but it is definitely smokey. But it is also very smooth and mellow. I don't think those unfamiliar with LS would like it. It's very good, but somehow, for me, the smoke is a bit wrong.

This is one of my favorite teas. It stands head and shoulders above most other Lapsangs, almost poetical in the achievement of its goals. Not to be missed!
